Disney+ has ordered a pilot for a new version of The Mickey Mouse Club, according to Deadline. Production starts this month in Los Angeles.
The 11 Mouseketeers are Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, Erianthe Akaata, Scarlett London Diviney, Michael Cash, Yonas Kibreab, Varonica Mitchell, Kauani, Scarlett Grace Petty and Carter Barnes. Stone, Trotter and Pitts also appear in Disney's upcoming Camp Rock 3.
Fulwell Entertainment is producing the pilot. Ben Winston, Ashley Edens, Emma Conway and Dave Piendak are executive producers.
The original Mickey Mouse Club premiered on ABC in 1955. Disney revived the format in 1977, 1989 and again as the social-media series Club Mickey Mouse in 2017. The 1989 version included future stars Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell.
Disney+ has not announced a release date or said whether the pilot will advance to a full series.
