Bob Gurr: Living by Design premieres tonight at 9 p.m. PDT on PBS SoCal. The film will stream free after the broadcast through the end of July.
Director Frank H. Woodward announced the television premiere for Disneyland's 71st anniversary. The documentary follows Gurr from the original Disneyland design team through a career that helped shape modern theme parks.
Gurr designed the first Autopia cars, Disneyland Monorail trains and the ride system for Matterhorn Bobsleds. His later work included the King Kong Encounter at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The PBS SoCal streaming window opens after tonight's broadcast and remains available through July 31.
