The artwork provides the clearest official look yet at Doom's complete costume. His mask, armored tunic, gauntlets and boots follow the character's familiar comic-book silhouette, while the circular chest pieces match the design shown in earlier promotional art.
Doctor Doom is traditionally Victor von Doom, the armored ruler of Latveria and a central Fantastic Four enemy. Marvel Studios has said Downey is playing Victor von Doom, not a returning Tony Stark, though the movie may use the actors' shared face as part of its story.
The poster is separate from the first Doomsday trailer and ticket announcement released earlier in July. Avengers: Doomsday opens December 18, 2026.
Marvel Studios published the official poster during its Comic-Con presentation. Release details and the principal cast are available on the official movie page.
