David Jonsson will be the new Black Panther in Black Panther 3. Ryan Coogler will return to direct the movie, which opens in theaters December 15, 2028.

Marvel Studios confirmed Jonsson's casting after the title and date reveal. Video from Hall H shows Coogler introducing him to the Comic-Con audience.

Jonsson appeared in Rye Lane, HBO's Industry and 20th Century Studios' Alien: Romulus. Marvel has not announced additional cast members or story details.
Coogler directed both earlier Black Panther movies. Chadwick Boseman played T'Challa in the first film. Letitia Wright's Shuri took up the Black Panther mantle in Wakanda Forever after T'Challa's death.
