New aerial photos show retaining-wall work and grading advancing inside the Piston Peak National Park construction site at Magic Kingdom.
WDWMAGIC's July 27 aerial shows sand placed between the existing Frontierland grade and the new retaining walls. The fill is building up the elevation change at the edge of the former Rivers of America area.

How the work fits the project
Disney closed the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat on July 7. Piston Peak National Park will bring two Cars-themed attractions to the western side of Frontierland.
The visible wall and fill work follows an amended construction notice recorded July 23. That filing extended demolition, infrastructure preparation and utility work at the site through July 2027.
