Spain's Civil Guard has opened an investigation after a crew member aboard the Disney Dream said another employee poisoned her during the ship's July 24 port call in Vigo.

The woman began feeling ill while the ship was in Vigo and received care at a hospital. She filed a complaint the next day, identifying another crew member in her allegation.

The reported substance is being analyzed

Civil Guard sources confirmed the investigation to La Voz de Galicia. Investigators are analyzing the substance the employee reported ingesting to determine what happened.

Cadena SER separately confirmed the complaint, hospital visit, and substance analysis. The case remains an allegation under investigation. Authorities have not announced an arrest, a test result, or a finding that poisoning occurred.

The reporting did not identify either employee. No guest illness or change to the Disney Dream's itinerary was reported in connection with the investigation.
