Universal Studios Japan Offers Ticket Refunds After Kumamoto Earthquake

The offer covers guests unable to visit because of the earthquake.

Universal Studios Japan is offering ticket refunds to guests who cannot visit because of the July 28 Kumamoto earthquake. The park announced the exception on its official Japanese X account late Tuesday night in the United States.

Affected ticket holders can follow Universal Studios Japan’s refund instructions. A closing date and list of eligible ticket types were not provided.

Kumamoto Earthquake

The earthquake struck the Kumamoto region at 4:27 p.m. Japan time on July 28. Japan’s government reported a maximum seismic intensity of 7 in Hikawa, Kumamoto Prefecture, along with strong shaking across Kyushu.

Guests seeking a refund should use the instructions linked from Universal Studios Japan’s official notice. Ticket eligibility and request timing may depend on the purchase method.
