RWS Global has hired longtime Disney live entertainment executive Matt Conover as Divisional President, Global Production. The company said the position is a newly established role overseeing production strategy, planning and execution across its international work.
Conover spent more than 37 years at The Walt Disney Company. He began as a stage technician at Walt Disney World in 1989, then moved through production leadership roles at Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney Imagineering.
His most recent Disney job was Vice President, Disney Live Entertainment at Disneyland Resort. RWS Global said he led more than 400 producers, directors, designers and technical professionals there.
From Disney Parks to RWS Global
Conover's new team supports live entertainment for theme parks, cruise lines, sports, theater, destinations and brand events. He will work from RWS Global's New York headquarters and oversee projects from development through delivery.
His prior work also includes two Super Bowl halftime shows, NBA All-Star Games and Savannah Bananas live events. RWS Global did not announce a specific new project tied to the appointment.
