Moana: Voices Across the Ocean Album Is Out Now

The inspired-by album spans 15 songs and artists representing seven Pacific islands and cultures.

Moana: Voices Across the Ocean is available now as a 15-song digital album from Walt Disney Records. The release brings together Stan Walker, Dinah Jane, Iam Tongi, Paula Fuga, Maoli, Common Kings, Dwayne Johnson and other Pacific artists.

Disney announced the album as music inspired by Moana and the Pacific. Its 14 original songs and one cover feature artists representing seven islands and cultures. Dwayne Johnson, Lauren Hashian, Tiana Nonosina Liufau and Kayla Fa‘amaligi are the executive producers.

The opening track is a new cover of “We Know the Way,” which Opetaia Foa‘i and Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote for the 2016 animated film. The rest of the album stands apart from the live-action movie soundtrack, deluxe soundtrack and Mark Mancina score released earlier in July.
