All four episodes of the final season of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place are now streaming on Disney+. The short run is billed as “one last spell” for the Russo family.
Selena Gomez returns as Alex Russo in multiple episodes and makes her directorial debut with the season premiere. David Henrie is back as Alex’s older brother, Justin.
One final Russo family problem
The official setup picks up after Season 2. Billie must find and reunite with her long-lost father so her family can combine its power and rescue Alex. Disney has kept the rest of the finale under wraps.
Janice LeAnn Brown plays Billie, with Alkaio Thiele as Roman, Max Matenko as Milo, Taylor Cora as Winter, Mimi Gianopulos as Giada and David Henrie as Justin. The final episodes also bring back familiar faces played by Jennifer Stone and Gregg Sulkin.
Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas wrote the season and serve as executive producers. Gomez and Henrie are among the other executive producers.
A continuation of the original Wizards series
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows Justin as he mentors Billie, a young wizard whose arrival pulls magic back into his family’s suburban life. The show continues the world of Wizards of Waverly Place, the Disney Channel series that ran from 2007 through 2012.
The first two seasons are also available on Disney+, so the complete continuation can now be watched in order.
