A guest has filed a negligence lawsuit against Universal City Development Partners over an alleged fall inside Epic Universe. The complaint concerns a November 14, 2025 visit, but the filing became public news this week.
WDW News Today reported that New Jersey resident Juan Bautista Tenjo says he slipped on a substantial accumulation of water in a Super Nintendo World photo area that also served as an attraction queue. Tenjo alleges the water pooled from stanchion inserts.
The complaint alleges that Universal failed to adequately inspect, maintain, or repair the area and failed to warn guests about the alleged hazard. Tenjo claims bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, medical expenses, lost earnings, and other continuing damages.
Padron & Lopez-Trigo, P.A. filed the case in Orange County Circuit Court on Tenjo's behalf, according to WDWNT. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $50,000.
The allegations have not been proven in court, and the filing does not establish liability.
