Some third-party stores at Disney Springs have stopped accepting Disney Gift Cards after contract changes, according to original reporting by WDW News Today.
Zara and Vera Bradley are among the locations that no longer accept the cards. Sephora still does. Disney-owned and operated shops at Disney Springs continue to accept Disney Gift Cards.
Check before reaching the register
Disney's current guidance describes acceptance at participating Walt Disney World locations and recommends checking with the location before a transaction. No comparable change has been reported at third-party shops elsewhere at Walt Disney World.
Guests planning to use a Disney Gift Card at an independently operated Disney Springs store should ask before shopping or keep another payment method handy.
