Demi Lovato will reprise the role of Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock 3. Lovato makes a cameo in the new movie and is also one of its executive producers.
The sequel premieres August 13 at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Channel and streams August 14 on Disney+. Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas return as Connect 3, while Maria Canals-Barrera is back as Mitchie's mother, Connie.
The story sends Connect 3 back to Camp Rock after the band loses its opening act for a reunion tour. Campers compete for the spot while new friendships and rivalries develop around the audition.
Lovato first played Mitchie in Camp Rock in 2008 and returned for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010. Her newly confirmed appearance brings the original films' lead character into the third chapter.
