Disney Animation shared a four-photo look at Eric Goldberg's work before the animator receives the Disney Legends Award at D23 on August 16.
Goldberg joined Disney for Aladdin, designing and supervising the animation of Genie. His hand-drawn work later included Phil in Hercules, Louis in The Princess and the Frog and Mini Maui in the Moana films.

Goldberg's Disney animation work
Goldberg also directed the “Rhapsody in Blue” and “Carnival of the Animals” segments in Fantasia/2000. More recently, he led hand-drawn animation for Once Upon a Studio and directed Donald Duck's animated appearance on Hot Ones.
The Disney Legends ceremony begins Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Pacific at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Goldberg is part of the 2026 class alongside fellow Disney Animation artist Mark Henn.
