Kennywood will turn Ghostwood Estate into a walk-through attraction for Phantom Fall Fest, letting guests leave the ride vehicles and ghost blasters behind to explore its rooms on foot.

The Pittsburgh-area park calls the nighttime version Ghostwood Estate: Open House. It joins six returning haunts after 6 p.m., bringing the event's total to seven.

Ghostwood also gets a daytime role. On Saturdays and Sundays beginning September 19, families can walk through the estate, meet its characters and collect candy. A new Fall Fest Tasting Card will cover mix-and-match samples including potato kielbasa skillet, smoked sausage mac and cheese and maple-cinnamon sweet potato fries.

Phantom Fall Fest runs on select dates from September 12 through November 1. Kennywood lists Friday hours from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday hours from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday hours from noon to 10 p.m.
