Bob Iger is writing another book. The Disney CEO disclosed the project in a new Disney Legends interview published August 13, though he did not share a title, publication date or subject.
Iger's first book, The Ride of a Lifetime, was published in 2019. It covered his rise through ABC and his first stretch as Disney CEO, including the acquisitions of Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm.
Iger has not revealed what the new book will cover
The interview ranges across nearly five decades at Disney, from ABC Sports and the 1996 Disney-ABC merger to the opening of Shanghai Disney Resort and the launch of Disney+. Iger also discusses working with Steve Jobs, George Lucas and Stan Lee.
None of that establishes the focus of the new book. Iger's brief disclosure is the only detail Disney has published about it so far.
Disney will honor Iger as a Legend
The profile is part of Disney's lead-up to the 2026 Disney Legends ceremony. Iger is among this year's honorees, recognizing his career at the company and his role in expanding Disney's film, television, streaming and theme park businesses.
