Universal Studios Japan has shared a first look at the extra water effects on Jurassic Park - The Ride: Discover U!!! Version. The official video shows a boat passing through a new water curtain built into the rocks.
The clip also shows water hitting the boat from several directions at the drop. The result looks less like a polite mist and more like the ride has decided dry clothes are optional.
The water curtain appears before the drop
The curtain forms a broad sheet across the boat's path. Universal's video then cuts to the drop, where separate jets add another burst from the sides.

The anniversary version runs through September 30
The Discover U version is scheduled from July 8 through September 30, 2026. Universal Studios Japan announced the broader soaking upgrade earlier; the August 13 video provides the close look at how the new curtain and side spray work.
