Bob Iger received the Disney Legends Award on Sunday, August 16, during the ceremony that closed D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim.
Disney Honors Iger at the Honda Center
Disney chief executive Josh D'Amaro presented the award after tributes from Robert Downey Jr., Harrison Ford, Ellen Pompeo, Diane Sawyer and Al Michaels. Disney named Iger to the 2026 class in March; Sunday's presentation made the honor official.

Iger Joins the 2026 Disney Legends Class
The 2026 honorees also include Jerry Bruckheimer, Susan Egan, Eric Goldberg, Anne Hathaway, Kim Irvine, Dwayne Johnson, the Jonas Brothers, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Tudyk. The ceremony streamed on Disney+ Sunday evening.
Iger led Disney from 2005 through 2020 and returned as chief executive in 2022. His tenure included Disney's acquisitions of Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox, along with the launch of Disney+.
