Monstropolis Will Open in 2027 Before Door Coaster at Hollywood Studios

New artwork shows the land's streets, Glob Theater and Harryhausen's restaurant.

Most of Monstropolis will open at Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2027 while construction continues on the land's door vault coaster.

Glob Theater and Harryhausen's Join the 2027 Opening

The land's story centers on H.U.M.A.N. Day, when the monster city welcomes human visitors. The streets will include the Department of Human Relations, the Glob Theater and Harryhausen's.

Door Vault Coaster Remains Under Construction

The coaster will be Disney's first suspended coaster and its first vertical-lift coaster. Ride vehicles will be raised before entering the door vault sequence from Monsters, Inc.

Disney has not announced the coaster's opening year.
