A new four-minute Kingdom Hearts IV trailer reveals a book-themed world where players control Mickey Mouse. The extended D23 footage also adds new scenes in Quadratum, the modern city where Sora awakens after the events of Kingdom Hearts III.
Mickey Opens a New Chapter
The trailer shifts to pages turning inside a book before putting Mickey in a side-scrolling sequence. The setting is separate from the newly revealed Coco world, which sends Sora to the Land of the Dead.
Quadratum Gets a Longer Look
Sora explores more of Quadratum and fights a towering Heartless in the city streets. Square Enix has set the game for late 2027, but has not announced platforms or an exact release date.
