Disneyland will begin demolishing four ticket booths on the eastern side of the Esplanade this week. Disneyland officials told the Orange County Register that the work starts with the eastern booths, clearing part of the existing entry area for the resort's larger arrival project.
DisneylandForward's planned eastside parking structure and transportation hub includes approximately 6,000 spaces, shuttle and rideshare areas, security screening and a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard leading to a new Esplanade arrival experience.
The Harbor Boulevard Bridge Is Part of DisneylandForward's Fall 2026 Work
Multi-year construction of the new arrival experience is slated to begin in fall 2026. The project plan includes public access between Harbor Boulevard and the new Esplanade, with the pedestrian bridge connecting the eastside hub to the resort's two parks.
The four booth removals are the first visible work reported for this portion of the project. Disneyland has not announced an opening date for the bridge.
Disneyland's Esplanade Will Remain the Arrival Point
The Esplanade sits between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. The planned bridge and transportation hub change how guests approach that shared entry area while leaving the park gates as the destination beyond it.
