Busch Gardens Williamsburg revealed Fright at the Museum for Howl-O-Scream on August 20. The new scare zone begins with an archaeological dig and ends with the artifacts waking up.

The 2026 Howl-O-Scream event runs September 11 through November 1 at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, with haunted houses, Terror-Tories, shows and nighttime coaster rides.

Fright at the Museum Starts With a Cursed Archaeological Dig

The new zone's setup is simple and deeply unhelpful: an ordinary dig uncovers artifacts that should have stayed buried. The aftermath brings cursed objects and horrors from the past into the event.
