Supports for Sky Hawk are now rising at Six Flags Great America. The August 26 milestone gives the suspended family coaster its first visible vertical profile as the park builds toward the planned 2027 opening.
Sky Hawk is billed as the Midwest’s longest, tallest and fastest suspended family coaster. The project is part of Camp Timber Trail, a Yukon Territory family area with two other new attractions and four rethemed rides.

Sky Hawk Construction Reaches a Vertical Milestone
The new supports rise above the construction area beside the park’s existing wooden coasters. Six Flags continues to list 2027 as the opening year, without a more specific public date.
