New concrete entrance columns for Monstropolis have reappeared at Disney's Hollywood Studios after the first version was demolished, adding a fresh construction marker ahead of the land's phased 2027 opening.
On August 22, WDWNT documented the forms removed and crews working from lifts at the entrance.

The Second Monstropolis Column Set Is Now Visible
According to WDWNT, Disney previously built four entrance columns, then demolished that first version. The current concrete columns are now exposed after their forms came off. The planned finish shown in Disney's concept art includes faux brickwork, but the final treatment remains part of the construction process.
Crews were working from lifts near the entrance. That observation fixes the columns' current state; it does not set an opening date for the entrance.
Disney Still Plans a Phased 2027 Opening
Parts of Monstropolis are slated to open in 2027 while construction continues on the land's door coaster. The opening plan includes the Glob Theater, Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza and Harryhausen's, alongside a street built around H.U.M.A.N. Day.
Disney has not announced a specific opening date for the land or the entrance columns. The door coaster will open later than the rest of the land, according to the official project announcement.
Scaffolding Is Coming Down Around the Former Muppets Courtyard
WDWNT also reports that scaffolding is starting to come down around the former Gonzo's Royal Flush restrooms and PizzeRizzo. Disney's project plan identifies those locations as part of the Monstropolis conversion, including Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza.
The entrance remains a construction area. Disney's announced phased 2027 opening is the current schedule, with exact dates still unconfirmed.
