Guests can now travel directly between Cars Land and Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. A WDW News Today visit on Aug. 29 found the new passageway open after the route had been closed since April 2025 for Avengers Campus expansion and restroom construction.
The New Connector Runs Between Cars Land and Avengers Campus
The passage reopened after construction related to the Avengers Campus expansion and the new Take-A-Brake restroom building. The route gives guests a direct walk between the two lands instead of the former detour through Performance Corridor.
Disneyland’s online construction notice still lists the passage as closed and directs guests through Performance Corridor, San Fransokyo Square and Hollywood Land. Guests should confirm the route with a cast member if that notice matches conditions during their visit.
The Take-A-Brake Restroom Links Two Themed Lands
The official Walt Disney Imagineering episode previews the building’s two-sided design. The Avengers-facing side uses a Howard Stark-era bunker theme, while the Cars Land side resembles an old Route 66 mechanic shop converted into a roadside rest stop.
The opening adds a new guest route while Disney continues work on Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab, both scheduled to open in 2028.
