D23 will host a ticketed lunch with Disney Legend Joe Rohde on Friday, October 2, at California Grill in Disney's Contemporary Resort. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. ET, and tickets go on sale Friday, August 28.
The afternoon combines a buffet lunch with a 45-minute conversation about Rohde's career and a signed copy of Floating Mountains: The Art of Imagining the Impossible. The event is for members age 12 and older.

Gold Member tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. ET after the 8 a.m. PT opening. General Member tickets follow at noon PT and 3 p.m. ET. Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to one guest, with a separate ticket required for each attendee.
California Grill lunch includes a signed Joe Rohde book
The ticket includes a buffet at California Grill, a moderated 45-minute conversation with Rohde and a signed copy of his new book. The conversation will cover his creative career and the stories behind his work.
Rohde is a former Walt Disney Imagineering creative executive whose projects include Disney's Animal Kingdom and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. The event offers a separate chance to hear him discuss that work at Walt Disney World.
Guests must use the Transportation and Ticket Center
Disney's Contemporary Resort will not provide event parking. D23 directs guests to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center at 1180 Seven Seas Drive and continue by bus or monorail.
Guests must be at least 12 years old and have a ticket. Guests under 18 must attend with a parent or legal guardian who also has a ticket. Rohde will sign only the provided book and will not take individual guest photographs.
