Dollywood will reopen Wednesday, August 26, after the Pigeon Forge theme park closed Tuesday following Dolly Parton’s death.
The park’s statement says the Wednesday reopening will proceed as planned. The Associated Press also reported that Dollywood closed Tuesday and would open Wednesday.

Dollywood’s August 25 statement says Parton wanted the park to remain a place where families could gather. It says the park will be open Wednesday “as Dolly wanted” and closes with the line “the show must go on.”
The reopening is a one-day schedule change tied to the closure. The statement does not announce a new set of operating hours.
