EPCOT’s Oaxacan Wood Carving Shop Is Set to Close August 31

The Mexico Pavilion stand’s last scheduled operating day is August 31, with current merchandise marked 50% off.

The Oaxacan Wood Carving shop inside EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion is scheduled to have its last operating day on Monday, August 31, according to WDW News Today.

The last scheduled operating day is August 31

WDW News Today reported that a cast member confirmed the closing date during an on-site visit. Signs at the stand advertised the remaining hand-carved figures at half price.

The stand sits in Plaza de los Amigos, the marketplace inside the Mexico Pavilion pyramid. The marketplace sells piñatas, sombreros, ceramics, baskets, leather goods and other items.

Disney has not announced a replacement

Disney has not announced why the Oaxacan Wood Carving shop is closing or what will replace the stand. Guests hoping to see the carvings or shop the current discount should check the park’s schedule before visiting.
