Disneyland’s Main Street Cinema has reopened after a refurbishment, with newer Mickey Mouse shorts playing inside the Main Street, U.S.A. theater. CrowdLevels recorded the attraction operating at 12:53 a.m. PDT on August 30.
Daps Magic reported August 29 that the cinema reopened with Mickey Mouse shorts created and developed by Paul Rudish, replacing the classic black-and-white films previously shown there. New posters were also visible near the entrance.
New Mickey Shorts Play Across the Cinema
The updated presentation features the modern Mickey Mouse from the shorts developed by Rudish. The change gives the six-screen theater a different lineup while keeping its Main Street setting and vintage movie-palace format.
Main Street Cinema Is Operating Again
CrowdLevels recorded Main Street Cinema as OPERATING at 12:53 a.m. PDT on August 30. The current record identifies the attraction at Disneyland Park with attraction ID c6710b4d-4f00-4562-9d9d-7c36133c1d36.
Main Street Cinema is a six-screen theater on Main Street, U.S.A. Guests can check current attraction information in the Disneyland app.
The Last Verse Was the Earlier 70th-Anniversary Film
Disneyland previously announced “The Last Verse,” a short about the Sherman brothers and “It’s a Small World,” for the 70th-anniversary season. The newly reported reopening describes a separate Mickey Mouse shorts presentation.
