The road approach to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa changed September 10. The entrance gate itself remains in the same location.
The new approach uses the northern Floridian Way roundabout instead of the southern one. From there, the route passes the overflow dining and Cast Member parking area, reaches the old Floridian Way at a traffic signal and turns south toward the resort gate.
Temporary signs mark the changed approach
A “Service & Authorized Vehicles Only” sign remained at the northern roundabout’s turn on September 10, along with temporary Grand Floridian directions. An LED arrow marked the turn, and a right-turn-only sign stood at the construction junction farther along the approach.
Concrete barriers blocked the former exit at the southern roundabout. Departing resort traffic also uses the northern roundabout.
The road change comes while renovations continue at Grand Floridian through early 2027, including work on the covered entrance. Disney also advises that alternate walking paths may be needed around the hotel during construction.
