USJ Opens Its First R-18 Halloween Horror Nights Attraction, Lights Out

Lights Out: Nightmare Isolation runs through November 8 and requires a paid ticket, a same-day waiver and guests age 18 or older.

Lights Out: Nightmare Isolation opened September 11 at Universal Studios Japan, becoming the park’s first R-18 Halloween Horror Nights attraction. The experience runs through November 8, 2026, at Stage 18, from 10 a.m. until park close.

Admission is limited to guests age 18 and older. It also requires a separate paid show ticket and a waiver completed and signed on the day of the visit.

What to know before entering

Bags cannot go inside. Guests must leave them in the lockers at the attraction entrance before participating.

The experience operates in Japanese only. Guests should review the Japanese-language admission details before buying a ticket.

Sharing the attraction’s content or interior details is prohibited, including through posts, recordings or conversations. The event’s operating dates are subject to change.
