A red Peterbilt-style truck cab is now installed beside the launch area for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios Florida.

The cab sits at an angle beside the lower track, surrounded by steel framing that is taking the shape of a jackknifed semi-trailer scene. Track near the station also runs between stacked shipping containers. Those pieces give the coaster’s opening section a much clearer street-racing setting than the bare construction site visible earlier this summer.

Hollywood Drift’s Launch Area Takes Shape

Work continues around the station and the Music Plaza side of the site. The visible track, containers, truck cab and framing show how tightly the first scene is being assembled around the service buildings.

The final ride sequence has not been announced. The truck’s position suggests a near-miss scene, but Universal has not confirmed when vehicles will stop, reverse or launch in relation to it.

The Universal Orlando Coaster Opens in 2027

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is scheduled to open at Universal Orlando in 2027. The outdoor coaster will use rotating vehicles and includes a 170-foot vertical spike near CityWalk.

The full track layout was in place by early August. The latest work is filling in the space around that track with the scenery guests will see from the station and launch area.
