Fat One’s Hot Dogs & Italian Ice is looking much closer to finished at Universal CityWalk Orlando.
The former Hot Dog Hall of Fame storefront now has a red, black and white exterior, permanent Fat One’s signs and branded banners along the walkway. Bar-height furniture and the service counter are visible behind the construction barriers.
Fat One’s shared its own construction photos on September 1, showing the banners, storefront graphics and Universal barriers. The original carousel is embedded below.
The opening day is still being finalized
The CityWalk location was a few weeks from opening on September 1, according to Fat One’s. Joey Fatone later wrote that the team expected a September debut and was finalizing the day. The exact date remains unsettled.
The venue remains behind construction barriers. The finished signs and furniture show how far the work has moved, but they do not mean the restaurant is open.
