Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights are now open for eight weekends through November 1. One Hersheypark Halloween ticket covers the daytime event and all five Dark Nights haunted houses and five scare zones.
Weekend hours and the 6 p.m. changeover
- Fridays: Hersheypark is open from 5 to 10 p.m.
- Saturdays: noon to 10 p.m.
- Sundays: noon to 9 p.m.
Dark Nights begins at 6 p.m. and continues for one hour after the park closes. That puts the haunts on the schedule until 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 10 p.m. Sundays.
Five haunted houses make up this year’s lineup: Kill ’N Fill Garage, Estate of Evil, Auntie Mortem’s Abattoir, Twisted Carnevil and Haunted Coal Mine.
Reese’s Depot Of Doom joins five scare zones
New this year, Reese’s Depot Of Doom turns part of The Boardwalk water park into a fog-covered freight yard. It joins Path of Shadows: Coven’s Curse, Fallout Zone, Midway Of Misery and Darkstone’s Hollow.
Rides, lights-out coasters and early closures
Hersheypark says 50 rides and attractions are available during the event, weather and maintenance permitting. During the park’s final hour, the lights go out on select coasters, including Wildcat’s Revenge, Candymonium, Comet and Lightning Racer. Laff Trakk runs in darkness throughout each Halloween operating day.
Some kiddie and family rides may close by 5 p.m., before Dark Nights begins. Hersheypark’s list includes Granny Bugs, Monorail, Music Express, Pony Parade, Red Baron, Sweet Swing, Tea Cups and Trailblazer. Guests can check current ride availability in the Hersheypark app.
Daytime offerings include Hershey’s Trick-or-Treat Trail and the scare-free Avenue Of The Afterlife with a DJ dance party and Hershey characters. ZooAmerica’s Creatures Of The Night flashlight experience begins October 16.
Admission and Fast Track
Hersheypark Halloween admission includes the five haunted houses and five scare zones; Dark Nights does not require a separate event ticket. A separate Fast Track Unlimited option is available for the haunted houses. Current 2026 passholders and 2027 passholders can visit during the event.
