The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen will celebrate its 10th anniversary at Universal CityWalk on Saturday, September 19, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The restaurant reaches its official anniversary on September 22.
Professor Doctor Penelope Tibeaux Tinker-Toothsome and Jacques will appear during the celebration. The afternoon also includes a steampunk-inspired chocolate display, a melted chocolate dipping station with marshmallows and fresh fruit skewers, and a family-friendly Chocolate Origins showcase.
The Chocolate Origins presentation traces chocolate and cacao through displays that include a cacao pod, a melanger and a chocolate-coating station. A themed photo booth and a custom engraved chocolate coin bearing the anniversary logo round out the event.
Six anniversary menu items for September
Five dishes and one specialty shake are available throughout September:
- Cheers to 10 Years! shake: chocolate and hazelnut spread-flavored ice cream, chocolate gears and a chocolate candle in a chocolate-dipped mason jar.
- Crispy Zucchini: Parmesan-crusted zucchini with sesame soy dipping sauce.
- Sedona BBQ Chicken Salad: romaine, chipotle grilled chicken, roasted corn, black beans, avocado, pepper jack, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, sweet drop peppers, chipotle-lime vinaigrette and tortilla strips.
- Forest Mushroom Flatbread: goat cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and truffle oil.
- Grilled Steak Sandwich: steak, caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, tomato jam, arugula, garlic-herb aioli and horseradish cream on a French baguette.
- Gnocchi: grilled chicken breast, sweet peppers, rapini and mole cream sauce.
