Bob Gurr will be inducted into the IAAPA Theme Park Hall of Fame on Monday, November 16. Gurr confirmed the date in a September 16 Instagram post. IAAPA named the Disney attraction designer to its 2026 Hall of Fame class alongside Chip Cleary, Jeffrey Ellis and Miguel Quintana Pali.
IAAPA describes Gurr as one of Walt Disney’s original Imagineers. His work includes the Autopia cars, Disneyland Monorail, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Submarine Voyage and the Omnimover ride system.
The induction will take place during IAAPA LEGENDS: A Hall of Fame Celebratory Affair at IAAPA Expo in Orlando. The November 16 event is scheduled for 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Eastern at the IAAPA Theater in the South Building of the Orange County Convention Center.
This Hall of Fame ceremony is separate from the Legends of Disney panel scheduled for November 18 at the same expo.
