Universal Beijing Resort has announced two new experiences: an indoor Fast & Furious themed ride and a nighttime show at Blue Lagoon. The plans were disclosed September 16 as the resort approaches its fifth anniversary, according to a Beijing Daily post carrying the announcement.
The Fast & Furious experience is being designed specifically for Beijing and will be fully indoors. Universal described a ride built around the films’ chase and action scenes, with immersive settings and a story that puts guests in the middle of the action. It called the attraction Asia’s first Fast & Furious indoor themed ride experience.
The nighttime show is planned for Blue Lagoon, the lake in the center of Universal Studios Beijing. It will combine light, music, storytelling and live interaction.
Neither experience has an announced opening date. Universal has not given the ride a public name or disclosed its ride system, exact placement or construction status. It also has not announced a show schedule.
