Shrek is getting a new presentation at Cosm for the film’s 25th anniversary. The 2001 movie will remain in its original 16:9 format, while scenes from Shrek’s world extend across Cosm’s LED dome and into the venue.

The experience is being developed by Cosm with Universal Film, DreamWorks Animation and Reel FX. Cosm named Shrek’s Swamp, Duloc’s Arena and Dragon’s Keep among the settings it plans to recreate around the film. Shrek, Donkey and Princess Fiona will be part of the presentation.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale this fall for Cosm venues in Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and Detroit. Cosm has not announced an opening date or ticket prices. Its event page offers sign-ups for updates and presale access.

The project begins a multi-year, multi-film partnership between Cosm and Universal Film. Shrek will be Cosm’s first animated film in its Shared Reality format.
