Dan Trachtenberg is coming on to direct an untitled Disney project inspired by Sleeping Beauty, according to Deadline. The film is in early development.
Deadline reports that Trachtenberg and Rayna McClendon developed the story. Alex Anfanger and Dan Schimpf are writing the script.
The project is described as an original idea inspired by Sleeping Beauty. Deadline also reports that it has no connection to the two Maleficent films starring Angelina Jolie.
