Disney Wonder crew members joined three community events across Southeast Alaska from September 24 through 26, and Disney Cruise Line announced an investment supporting the Coastie Campers summer program.
Three stops across Southeast Alaska
In Skagway on September 24, crew members spoke with Junior Achievement Alaska students about maritime careers and the range of jobs aboard a cruise ship.
The next day in Juneau, Disney Cruise Line and Armed Services YMCA – Alaska hosted a Coast Guard Families Appreciation Event. Families took part in crafts and activities with Captain Mickey Mouse.
On September 26 in Ketchikan, students from Junior Achievement Alaska and the Magsayawan Filipino Dance Group boarded Disney Wonder for a ship tour and another conversation about maritime work.
Support for Coastie Campers
Disney Cruise Line also announced an investment in the U.S. Coast Guard Foundation to support Coastie Campers, a summer enrichment program for Coast Guard families in Alaska. The cruise line did not disclose the amount.
The three events closed Disney Wonder’s 2026 Alaska season. Disney Cruise Line also supported the Southeast Alaska Food Bank, Harborview Elementary School, the Ketchikan Pioneer Home and Skagway Summer Camp during the year.
