Disney Believe has reached its keel-laying milestone, with a custom coin featuring Tinker Bell temporarily placed beneath the ship’s keel. Disney Cruise Line posted the construction update on October 5.
The coin’s portrait matches the Tinker Bell artwork planned for the ship’s bow. A keel is the main structural member running along the center of a ship’s bottom.
Construction on the second of Disney Believe’s three gigablocks is underway at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. The first section, which includes the ship’s midship and Grand Hall, floated out in September.
Disney Believe is scheduled to begin sailing in late 2027.
