Palm Springs Air Museum has scheduled an October 17 evening tour inside Walt Disney’s restored Gulfstream I.
Mark Malone and Ed Ovalle are the featured speakers. Malone’s father, Chuck Malone, was Walt Disney’s personal pilot. The museum says Mark joined the Gulfstream crew in 1979 and flew as a captain for Walt Disney Productions until 1985.
The evening includes a guided walk through the restored cabin, light refreshments and a presentation about the aircraft’s history. Four additional interior-tour dates are scheduled for 2027: January 16 with Walt Disney Archives director Becky Cline, February 20 with an Archives team member, March 6 with Disney Legend Bob Gurr and April 3 with another Archives team member.
Visitors do not need to wait for an evening tour to see the museum’s Walt Disney Archives display. The collection of artifacts from the airplane is open during regular museum hours and included with admission.
