Xbox has created a new XP division that puts theme parks, attractions and destinations within its plans for expanding game franchises beyond the games themselves.
Kayleen Walters, previously the head of Mojang, is the new division’s president. XP combines four areas: Pictures, Products, Places and Partnerships.
What Xbox Places Will Cover
Xbox Places includes marquee broadcasts, in-person events, theme parks and other location-based experiences. Its scope also includes immersive experiences, attractions and destinations.
No specific park, attraction project or opening date has been identified. Xbox has defined the part of the company that would oversee that work.
