Nicolas Cage says he refused an artificial-intelligence waiver for Spider-Noir and probably will not work with Amazon again.

Cage made the remarks Saturday, October 10, during a New York Comic Con panel. He said he is not an “AI-friendly actor” and did not sign the waiver, according to Variety’s account of the panel.

The actor did not describe the waiver’s terms. Amazon has not publicly detailed the request, and Cage did not say the dispute caused the series’ cancellation.

Spider-Noir was produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video. Cage starred as private investigator Ben Reilly in the Marvel adaptation.
