Two Indianapolis visitors say they spent about an hour stopped on Goliath’s lift hill before staff began evacuating riders after Monday’s fatal incident at Six Flags Over Georgia.
Caleb Sedam and Brandon Casper described the wait in interviews with WHAS11. The pair had traveled to Georgia with friends and were aboard Goliath when the coaster stopped.
Sedam said, “Without any kind of communication is really scary.” According to the WHAS11 report carried by WBIR, staff began removing riders after they had been waiting for about an hour.
Their account describes the experience aboard the stopped train. It does not establish what caused Monday’s fatal incident, and the report does not say the men witnessed the fall.
CrowdLevels’ initial report has more details on the incident and investigation. Dallas attorney Frank Branson later called for more ride inspections and safety standards.
