ESPN launched ESPN JV, a new YouTube channel built for kids, on October 14. Its lineup mixes interactive sports videos with an original animated series called The Sports Explorers.
The channel covers basketball, football, soccer, baseball and tennis through challenges, athlete trivia and other play-along formats. ESPN says new videos will be added regularly.
The Sports Explorers follows four members of the “ESPN Squad”: Ez, Shay, PJ and Nora. ESPN Creative Studio created the series, with WSC Studios collaborating on its development.
ESPN JV is available now on YouTube.
