FX’s The Lowdown returns for Season 2 on October 14 with a two-episode premiere on FX, Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
Ethan Hawke is back as Tulsa journalist and self-styled “truthstorian” Lee Raybon. Ryan Kiera Armstrong also returns as Lee’s daughter, Francis.
The new case starts after Lee wins a local journalism award. A troubled ceremony draws the attention of Ginger, a public defender investigating a missing prisoner. The trail leads toward murder and corruption among Tulsa’s wealthy.
Tommy Lee Jones joins the cast as Lee’s estranged father, Lee Raybon Sr., also known as Frog. Betty Gilpin plays Ginger. Season 2 runs eight episodes in all, beginning with the two-episode October 14 premiere.
