Keith Lockhart is previewing the Boston Pops’ two performances of Disney and Pixar’s Coco in Concert Live to Film at Symphony Hall on Oct. 30 and 31.
The first performance begins Friday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. The second is Saturday, Oct. 31, at 1:30 p.m. Lockhart will conduct the Boston Pops for both programs.
In a WBZ interview, Lockhart called Coco “a beautiful story” and “a universal story.” He connected the film to the Day of the Dead and the people families remember.
The two Coco programs follow the Boston Pops’ separate Día de Muertos concert on Oct. 29.
