Sound Sculpture Inc. is celebrating 30 years of designing and performing sound effects for themed attractions.

The independent studio and workshop was established in 1996. Brothers Ben and Roy Herrington lead the company, where sound effects, Foley, environmental layers and immersive soundscapes are built alongside modern studio tools.

Recent Disney work includes Test Track and Zootopia

Sound Sculpture credits its team with principal sound-effects design for the 2025 versions of Test Track at EPCOT and Zootopia: Better Zoogether at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Its work on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure included animal instrumentation, arrangement and performance, sound-effects design and additional mixing.

Sound functions as a building material in this workshop. Many effects begin with handmade instruments and physical performances before the recordings are shaped for a finished attraction.
