Chef Gary Miles and his team at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar landed on two-piece martini cups to hold the restaurant’s Candelabra Eggs after cupcake liners and bamboo cones did not fit.

The team wanted to serve deviled eggs in a candelabra, but needed food-safe holders that sat correctly in the display. The eventual answer was waiting in a storage room: small martini cups made from two pieces.

A serving problem shaped the dish

Miles calls the Candelabra Eggs his favorite item on this year’s Halloween menu because of the work required to move the idea from sketch to table.

He has worked at Walt Disney World for 28 years and has been at Disney Springs since it opened. He also helped create Jock Lindsey’s first holiday menu in 2019.
